Lost Creek Ranch offers the best in riding and horsemanship lessons Western and English lessons for beginners through national level show riders offered year round in our indoor and outdoor arenas. We offer well schooled lesson horses, show horses for lease and groundwork sessions. Our focus is on correct basics and building confidence in riders and horses while having fun and making friends for all ages.
All riders have the opportunity to work and learn through our Riding and Horsemanship Levels program where they are able to demonstrate their progress and earn badges/awards as they go helping riders and parents see progress and work towards goals.

As a 501(c)3 non profit horse rescue our mission is “Let no heart or soul, human or equine fall through the cracks” and our after school saddle club embodies that mission. It is our commitment to build self confidence, independence and a passion for horsemanship- not just riding but caring for, protecting and building relationships with horses that will last a lifetime.
We are committed to the overall development of your child - from improving social skills, overcoming fear, developing a work ethic and follow through. All while becoming a skilled horse person. Geared towards new rider or riders with limited experience. Starting with safety and learning to lead, groom, saddle and care for their partner. Riding lessons will focus on balance, equitation, strength and safety and most important having fun!
Details: Saddle Club includes a daily group riding and horsemanship lesson- we teach Western and English riding. Supervised crafts and activity time in our heated barn lounge. We are happy to work with parents and teachers to check homework before or after riding if requested. Saddle Club members are welcome to help with chores, assist other riders with grooming and observe advanced lessons.
Tuition: $45/day, $80/2 days weekly, $120/ 3 days weekly.
Saturday Winter Horsemanship- Returning November 2024 Dates Coming Soon for Winter 2024 11:00-1:00pm Beginner Level $55 per rider 1:00-3:00 Advanced Beginner Level $55 per rider Horsemanship class includes 2 riding sessions and an unmounted lesson on a variety of topics and is open to all youth riders. Topics covered include Western riding, English riding, Intro to Showing, Games on horseback, Drill Team exercises, Equitation, Ground Work, Horse First Aid, Training Theory, Groundwork, Showmanship/ Halter and so much more!
What Level to Sign Up For Beginner Youth have no experience or limited experience riding- we work on correct position at the walk and trot. Advanced Beginners have some experience and should be comfortable trotting on multiple horses, able to steer and ride in a group- we will be working on cantering and advancing the riders understanding of aids, cues

Equine Therapy Sessions
Horses are wonderful mirrors and are the best teachers. Through horses you will improve your confidence, communication, learn to read non verbal/body language, become an advocate for yourself, improve your decision making, help self regulation and conflict resolution skills. At Lost Creek Ranch our clients have experienced equine therapy to be highly effective for depression and anxiety, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, Substance Abuse, Memory Enhancement and more. 45 Minute Session- $90
